When you enroll in a course, you'll have different tasks depending on its duration. For the 40 and 60-hour courses, there are two tests: one on grammar and one final test. In the 120-hour course, along with the final test, there is a Language Skills Exam and a lesson plan assignment to complete during the course. The 150-hour course includes both grammar and final tests, plus assignments. You'll need to send these assignments to your trainer, who will provide feedback within 5 working days. The feedback will be detailed, with comments and suggestions on your work, covering various tasks such as lesson planning and classroom management analysis.
150-hour course: Complete lesson plan, grammar, and final exams.
120-hour course: Complete lesson plan, language skills, and final exams.
60-hour course: Complete grammar and final exams.
40-hour course: Complete grammar and final exams.
Lesson plans and other assignments are graded as Pass or Fail. You have three attempts.
Grammar exam and Language Skills Exam: You must score at least 60 points to pass. You have three attempts.
Final exam: You must score at least 60 points to pass. You have two attempts.
All our courses include self-study questions to help you prepare for graded requirements. Your final grade is based on the average of your grammar and final exam scores:
90% to 100% = A
80% to 89% = B
60% to 79% = Pass
It is not compulsory to purchase any additional textbooks. We recommend the following textbooks:

As of May 1st, 2023, any trainee who has completed the 250-hour Expert TEFL/TESOL course will receive one certificate of completion for said course. If you wish to receive any of the complementary 40-hour course digital certificates, there will be an additional fee of £10 per certificate.
No, you do not need experience in teaching English. Any experience is ideal but it is not compulsory in finding jobs. Free in-class teaching practice is provided when hired through our Jobs Department. Our partners abroad will provide a free 5 to 15 day practical training before you start teaching. Some also provide language lessons and cultural training as well helping you adapt to the local culture.
