Responsibilities: • Teach 25 to 30 hours per week – Teachers are expected to conduct lessons within this range, following the provided curriculum.
• Prepare and deliver engaging lessons – Teachers must ensure that lessons align with the curriculum and are appropriate for small class sizes of 8 to 15 students.
• Maintain classroom management – Ensure a productive and respectful learning environment, helping students stay focused and engaged.
• Participate in training and orientation – Attend any required training sessions or orientation provided by the school to adapt to teaching methods and school culture.
• PCollaborate with the school community – Work closely with supervisors, HR, fellow teachers (both Korean and native English speakers), and management to ensure smooth operations and student success.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree – A degree is required to apply for the position.
• TEFL Certification – Applicants must have a TEFL certification.
• Clean Background Check – Teachers need to pass a background check and be drug-free.
• Native English Speaker – Candidates must be native English speakers from countries like the USA, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or certain parts of Africa.
• No Prior Experience Required – While experience is not mandatory, it is welcomed.
What we offer:
• Competitive Salary: Monthly pay between KRW 2.3 - 2.8 million, depending on experience.
• Flight Benefits: Prepaid one-way airfare for larger city placements, or a round-trip ticket for smaller cities.
• Housing: Free, fully furnished single-occupancy housing within walking distance from the school.
• Paid Time Off: Two weeks of paid vacation plus approximately 15 national holidays.
• Work Schedule: Five-day workweek with no weekend classes, requiring 25-30 teaching hours per week.
• Overtime Pay: KRW 17,000 - 20,000 for extra classes.
• Severance: End-of-contract severance equivalent to one month's salary.
• Tax Exemption: Up to two years (except for Irish and Canadians).
• Healthcare and Pension: 50% of health insurance and pension contributions covered by the employer, including dental and vision.
• Training: Orientation and training provided.
• Small Class Sizes: Class sizes of 8-15 students.
• Curriculum: Pre-established teaching materials.
• Support: Assistance from management, supervisors, and both local and expat teachers to ensure smooth adjustment and success in teaching.
